Andy & Ryann's Wedding

I had the pleasure of shooting the wedding of Andy and Ryann on April 14, 2012 in Ocala, FL. The bride got ready at her grandmother's house in the historic district and it was a fantastic spot for detail and bridal shots. We hid the bride away upstairs and the groom and groomsmen did their session there as well. Bride and groom in the same house.....and they did not want a first look! But, we managed to pull it off :) They were married at Grace Episcopal Church downtown. This venue does not allow photographers past a certain point in the church and no flash photography. However, it has beautiful interior lighting and architectural details that I was happy to capture. Ryann's grandfather collects and restores antique cars, so the wedding car was a 1927 mint green Cadillac coupe and we had lots of fun with that car throughout the day! The reception was held downtown as well, in the building Ryann's grandfather just had built to store all of his antique cars. It made for a fabulous reception venue with a cool industrial warehouse feel, open walls draped with sheer white fabric and party lights across the courtyard. It turned out beautifully! We were able to sneak away for a few downtown night shots as well, one of my favorite parts of the wedding day! Please enjoy LOTS OF FAVES from the day! Congratulations to Andy and Ryann! Easter Family Session

It doesn't happen often when you get the whole family together for a portrait session, but I was lucky enough to be called upon to photograph this gorgeous family over Easter weekend.  Grandma and Grandpa had all the kids together and didn't want to miss the opportunity to get photos with all of them! You might recognize one of these families, we have been shooting together for a couple years now :) I found a beautiful spot filled with Spring flowers and luscious sunlight for this fun family session. The weather was amazing, 70's and breezy.....we definitely don't get many days like that! Enjoy some of my faves from our session.

Spring Family Session

This blog posting is long overdue! I'm in the middle of a super busy Spring season! I had such fun with this family of four on a beautiful Spring day.  We started at their house and let the kids get to know me for a bit and then we moved onto a great little orange grove with fantastic light down the road. The kids were a bit cranky on this particular afternoon and I told mom when we were finished with our session that it never fails, when the kids are out of sorts, they're usually coming down with something.  Low and behold they both woke up with a bug the following day. Oracle.....photographer....I wear many hats :) Regardless, we got some super fun shots of this family just being themselves and looking gorgeously natural together.
